Royal Empress Trees
grow fast, but you can make them grow faster.

Follow these professional planting tips and you’ll get far faster root development and top growth when planting your Royal Paulownia tree. First picking a planting spot in full sun is best as that is what Royal Empress trees prefer. To create even faster shade, plant it like a pro.

Dig the hole twice as wide and deep as your tree’s root ball size.
Use the shovel to shred the ground soil well. Fast root development requires nice loose soil. You don’t want your new tree to struggle at adapting. Let it work on making lots of strong roots without having to fight through your soil. It needs a well-developed root system to grow bigger above ground and to deal with drought better.

Stave off transplant shock by giving your Royal Princess Tree a booster shot.

New plants will get over having the roots disturbed and adjusting to different soil easily if you give them a shot of MiracleGro at planting time. First soak the roots in a bucket for 4-5 minutes before placing them in the hole. Once you’ve finished the planting and mulched, water your flowering tree in well with instant liquid plant food.

Repeat the MiracleGro application once a month until fall.

If you prefer you can use slow release fertilizer applied a couple of weeks after planting. By putting forth a few extra minutes of time you will be rewarded with a faster growing, hardier tree that will also be covered with blooms in spring. Be sure to water your new Royal Empress tree regularly the first year. This allows it to perform like a champ and give you a drought tolerant specimen for years to come. Try it, you’ll be very pleased.
