Autumn Cherry Tree

Like most cherry trees, the Autumn Cherry puts on its most spectacular show of blossoms in the spring. This variety's delicate pink flowers are semi-double, with ten petals rather than the five that many cherry blossoms have, giving them an unusual frilly look.

As the blossoms start to fall, the green summer foliage fills in, as well as small black berries. The Autumn Cherry's canopy spreads in a classic cherry shape as it matures. A full-grown specimen makes an elegant shade tree in the height of summer.
