Camellias are easy to grow. Take into consideration some partial shade and mulch.
If you live in a colder climate you may want to plant where your April Snow has a protection from harsh northern winds.
Those are the simple concerns for all first-year camellias. After the first year, little or no pruning is ever needed.
Then, expect the harvest of fragrant, white double blossoms at least 3 inches across... in March to as late as May.
The flowers of the Camelia are lovely in your garden or home with the contrasting dark green, glossy foliage.
