It’s a great plant for erosion control on slopes and banks. Because it tolerates salt, it can be used successfully near a street or in an urban setting where salt is thrown in snow and ice control.  
 
This shrub loves heat, it is a sturdy evergreen that grows in the far north and brightens a landscape all year long with its blue-green color.
 
Like other junipers, this one is easy-care.  You can occasionally water, never prune, and do no soil treatments, and it will be as bright as the day you received it.
 
The beautiful blue-green hue makes this low-growing ground cover a perfect low border to highlight a flower bed. It is also useful in a rock and desert garden to soften edges and add texture.

 

Pairs well with the light green color of the Procumbens Nana Juniper.
