Showy Foliage and Purple Blooms...You Can Walk On!
The Chocolate Chip Ajuga, also known as Carpet Bugle, is named for its unique brown foliage.
Narrow leaves are enticing shades of plum and chestnut.
This low growing ground cover offers both fetching foliage and showy flowers.
When not in bloom, Chocolate Chip Ajuga may be walked on with no fear of damaging its foliage.
Three inch spikes of frothy blue blossoms are produced in spring and sometimes reoccur in milder climates. Set against the darker leaves, these blue flowers really pop.
This is a fast growing favorite that spreads rapidly by runners and makes a mat of dense, dark green foliage. Chocolate Chip Ajuga is a dwarf form that grows just 2-3 in high but spreads up to 3 ft wide. Count on Chocolate Chip Ajuga to crowd out those pesky weeds.
This plant will adapt to almost any garden or landscape locale.
Chocolate Chip Ajuga is a fan favorite as an addition to the water garden or pond. Looks lovely trailing in the water and will grow submerged.
Combine with other low growing perennials like Hardy Ferns or Hosta.
