Dwarf Mondo Grass

Fantastic ground cover as it forms small, grass like clumps.  Fine texture is dense, deep green and closely cropped...in the summer pale purple flowers bloom on short stalks.

This evergreen is excellent in rock gardens, along stepping stones, borders and as filler or an edging plant.  It will also grow submerged and adds great texture to water gardens.

An interesting visual echo is achieved when combined with the Variegated Liriope, or for color that pops try pairing with Periwinkle. 

 

In a cottage garden the Dwarf Mondo will provide great contrast with softer plants like Moonbeam Coreopsis.  This little guy is an attention getter anywhere!
