Dwarf North Star Cherry

The Dwarf North Star Cherry Tree grows well even in colder climates. It is a beautiful tree that not only provides fruit, but also looks stunning in your landscape. The dark rugged bark and the plentiful branches are show stopping in the spring, when they are covered with lovely white flowers. In late June through early July the tree, laden with pounds of dark red cherries, is a sight to behold!

Dwarf North Star Cherry Trees mature to 12 feet in height. Their compact size makes it a favorite or growing in smaller backyards, courtyards, and gardens. This height makes it easy to maintain your cherry tree, and the fruit is easily reached for picking.

A hardier cherry tree would be difficult to find. Cold hardy, pest and disease resistant this cherry tree is a joy to grow. The North Star is an early producer giving you fruit next season, under optimum conditions. It is a reliable heavy fruiting tree that requires little of your time and effort. This is one of the few cherry trees that do not require a pollinator. It is self fruiting, but as with all fruit trees, will perform even better when two or more trees are planted together.

North Star cherries have shiny, dark, red skin and deep, red flesh…perfect for a rich, red cherry pie! These cherries are sweet tart, and can be eaten fresh, made into jam, or baked into luscious desserts.
