The Fragrant Climbing Rose that's Super Tough

The Iceberg Rose is so popular because...

    • it gives you fragrant blooms with little maintenance
    • easy to train as a climbing rose
    • you get a thick carpet of double-blooms, every year

If you thought that only heirloom roses had the delightful rose scent, you'll be amazed at the fragrant Iceberg Rose (Rosa floribunda 'Iceberg'). It is a white, fragrant, double bloomer that is practically trouble-free!

Very Versatile- Grow as a Shrub or Climber
Grown as a shrub rose, Iceberg is covered with scented blooms each spring and then sporadically throughout summer, and a second flush when the heat relents in early fall. With a little effort, you can train your icebergs to climb, too.

    Low Maintenance Bloomer
Like all roses, Iceberg enjoys full sun but will tolerate a little shade, particularly in the south. Thrives in zones 5-10, in most soils. When grown as a shrub, it will reach about four feet tall and wide.

Be Sure to Get Well-Developed Roses
The flowers are produced on new wood, so pruning in winter provide lots are time for the new growth to become established. Pruning can also restrict the height and overall size of the rose without compromising the number of blooms.
