Kieffer Pear Trees

The Kieffer Pear Tree is pest and disease resistant, and adapts
to many climates and soils, though it does best in full sun and
well-drained soil. It is easy to grow organically in your own
backyard since it does not require a lot of care and pesticides.
The Kieffer Pear Tree is a great pear tree for zones 4-9.

The fast growing Kieffer Pear Tree quickly reaches a mature height of 15-25 feet, and a width of 5-10 feet. It is known for its hardiness and long life span and tolerates heat and drought very well. Its round symmetrical shape and shiny green leaves make it an exceptional landscape tree, as well as a heavily producing fruit tree. The Kieffer is self-fruiting, but like all fruiting trees, gives the best yield when paired with at least one other pear tree.

Each year you can expect your tree to produce fragrant blooms in mid-April. You will be able to pick your sun-ripened Kieffer pears beginning in mid-August.
