The Showiest Of All Cherry Trees

Kwanzan Cherry could be the showiest of all the cherries! When
other Cherry trees start to fade, the Kwanzan blossoms take over.

Double blossoms make this tree the star of spring! Each blossom has double the petals, making it look like a flower within a flower. Deep-pink blossoms grow in clusters, making this tree look almost like it is covered with thousands of small roses.

It will certainly turn heads each spring when it explodes with color!

As the flowers begin to fade, bronze leaves take their place and then turn glossy green for the summer. When fall arrives, the leaves turn a brilliant yellow-orange, and as the chill of winter arrives, the Kwanzan Cherry’s thin, glossy bark will steal the show.

America's love affair with cherry blossom trees began in the early 1900’s, when thousands were sent to our nation’s capitol by the Japanese. We remember this gift each year during the National Cherry Blossom Festival, where these trees' natural beauty can enjoyed for weeks.

Now you can enjoy this year-round beauty in your yard! Your Kwanzan Cherry will do best if it’s planted in full sun. It can be planted in many soil types and climates, and will grow quickly to a mature height of 30 feet high and wide.

Plant one as a specimen plant, or put several together to line your drive or patio. The Kwanzan Cherry is a great addition to any yard!

My experience with these trees (several Kwanzans planted on my property) is one wherein they do provide a dense, beautiful show of spring color, pleasing landscape shape and rapid growth. A nice combination!
