Neon Flash Lives up to Colorful Name
With a name like Neon Flash, you expect a lot of vivid colors from a plant. And the Neon Flash Spirea.
The deciduous shrub may only grow to 4 feet tall and wide, but the main appeal of this plant is the array of colors offered by the foliage and the blooms.
Fresh growth begins as a reddish-purple, shifting in late spring and summer to a deep green. In the fall, the foliage turns a rich burgundy color.
Complimenting all of these changes are the bright pink flowers that develop in the middle of spring and last through most of the summer.
This quick growing, compact plant packs a lot of color and life into a small space, making it ideal for almost any landscape or garden placement.
