Huge 6-Inch Blooms, with an Unbelievable 40-70 Buds per Stem!!

Masses of Richly Colored Blooms Make a Big Show for You!
You Can Count on a Second Bloom Period Each Year
    Extremely Easy to Grow!

Outstanding for Bloom Size and Rich, Non-Fading Color
These blooms are really big – up to 6 inches across! – and their deep red-purple is accented with a touch of white on the rims of the petals. The rich color does not fade as the blooms age, but stays dark and saturated. Wide and overlapping, the petals really show off the deep color, and they curl back so the blooms assume a rounded form, giving rise to this variety’s name.

Hundreds of Blooms Each Year on One Mature Plant!
An unusually strong and vigorous grower, Round Midnight is a prodigy in the bloom department; a well-grown clump will have numerous stems, each with an amazing 40 to 70 buds! This means that that there will be a multitude of blooms, and that they keep coming over a long period. And when you think the show is finally done, a second crop of blooms comes along in late summer. This sheer quantity of blooms coupled with their intense dark coloring makes for a really dramatic statement in your garden!

Tough as Nails, and So Easy to Grow!
Like all Daylilies, Round Midnight is one of the toughest plants in the Plant Kingdom!  Not only is it impervious to summer’s worst heat and winter’s worst cold, it also takes drought and humidity in stride and can survive harsh conditions like polluted city environments and positions near roads that are salted in winter; it will even grow in that most difficult of places, under Walnut trees!

    Growing Tips:
Plant in full sun to dappled shade. It will grow in most any soil and takes drought well, but grows most lushly and blooms most profusely if given water during dry spells, and soil with plenty of compost or humus added at planting. Nevertheless, basically, all you have to do is sit back and let the plant do its thing!
