Brilliant magenta red, daisy-like blooms stand at attention over long and sturdy stems, making this a terrific cut flower.  Clump forming foliage is tidy, toothed and dark green.   
 
You will still enjoy the Ruby Star Coneflower after other perennials have ceased to bloom.  A long blooming period from summer to early fall, is just one more reason to love this fantastic flower!  

Seed heads are quite architectural in form and provide continued visual interest in winter.
