Daniel Boone hollowed his famous 60-foot long canoe from the trunk of a Tulip Poplar.
These trees rapidly grow tall and straight with canopies of striking leaves that are high above the ground. The Tulip Poplars George Washington planted at Mt. Vernon are now over 100-feet tall! Truly majestic trees – proof they that withstand the test of time.
Rare yellow spring flowers – the brightest tree on the block!
In summer the large, bright green leaves really stand out because they’re shaped like a tulip. These rapid growing hardwood trees are great home landscape shade bearers because their lower branches begin high on the trunk. A lovely tree that is good at framing the view.
Tulip Poplars turn the brightest glowing gold for fall.
Their seeds provide a great winter food source for bright colored songbirds and squirrels. There are many great benefits to growing Tulip Poplar trees in your yard. They are easy keepers that thrive in many soils and climates. The Tulip Polar is fairly tolerant of drought once established.
Tulip Poplars are highly resistant to insects and diseases.
This valuable ornamental tree is low maintenance and prized by homeowners for its beauty. When purchasing your Tulip Poplar trees from Brighter Blooms, you can rest assured that you will receive a container perfectly filled with a well-established root system. This is a fast grower definitely. Hurricane Ivan blew down a giant tulip poplar that was in my parent's backyard. Since then, I have dug up several of this giant's seedlings and planted them over at my house. What started out as a 5 - 6 inch seedling 4 years ago is now over 11 feet tall in MY backyard.

I just want to say to everyone that the Tulip Poplar tree is a very beautiful tree. Mine is grown in Massachusetts and is approx 90' tall. It has the most beautiful large leaves and the Tulips really make this tree unbelievable to see. Mine blooms the end of May thru June and I can't wait to see it each year. This tree is also as straight as an arrow. They are the greatest booming tree you could ever want to own.

My mother has one of these in her front yard in Seattle of all places--probably planted with the house in the mid 1950s, a transplant from back East, no doubt. It is HUGE and dwarfs her house, and it's absolutely gorgeous. This spring/summer it has so many huge blooms and it is a relly cool, unusual tree.
