Variegated Hydrangea

The variegated hydrangea is unique and rather delicate-looking. It grows to a large, mature plant...5 feet tall and 6 feet wide.

The mix of the variegated foliage and blue flowers makes a beautiful statement as a border or a foundation cover. Cut bouquets are particularly pleasing if you include some of the white-edged leaves.

It blooms spectacularly in southern regions, and needs a bit more sunshine northern areas. This low-maintenance plant needs little care other than regular water and regular fertilizer, as with any other bloomer, in late winter or early spring.

Pruning, if done at all, should occur at the end of summer.
