Brighter Blooms Nursery offers a full one-year replacement guarantee. If your plant dies within 90 days of delivery, we offer a 75% store-issued credit that can be redeemed on any future purchase. If your plant dies after 90 days, but before one year, we offer a 50% store-issued credit that can be redeemed on any future purchase. Store credits do not cover the cost of shipping.
However, it’s possible that your plant may not be dead at all. To find out, please perform a scratch test by scraping away a little piece of the bark on the trunk of your plant, a few inches above ground level. You can use your fingernail, a coin, or a small knife.
If the area below the bark is brown or black, your plant is not alive.
If the area below the bark is green, white or moist, your plant is still alive. It just needs a few days to perk back up. If you haven’t planted it yet, just place it in the shade and give it some water, and it should leaf out soon.
You must notify us within your guarantee’s time frame if your tree has died.

Once we review your photos and determine that you qualify for
replacements, we will send you a coupon that can be applied
toward a replacement plant.. During the spring and summer
seasons, this process can take up to 1-2 weeks. Unfortunately,
some replacement plants can only be shipped out in the fall or spring.
