- Sweet scented grass that thrives in full sun
- Great for borders or naturalized areas
More commonly known as Golden Variegated Sweet Flag Grass, these look like ornamental grasses but are actually related to Calla Lillies.
Grown for their attractive foliage, Acorus Ogon has narrow, golden yellow leaves that resemble the leaves of irises. You can count on these buttery blades to brighten up any garden locale.
Sweet Flag does produce small, horn-shaped flowers in midsummer, but they are no match for the fantastic foliage. The striking color lasts all season long!
This plant is quite the standout set against dark green, burgundy, or purple foliage.
When crushed or bruised, Acorus Ogon gives off a wonderful lemony scent, at one time it was actually used to flavor candy.
This water loving perennial is excellent for use around ponds or in other moist areas...use in damp borders or in shallow water.
Fast growing and superb as groundcover, edging, or in containers... it even grows indoors!
Plant along side other perennial favorites such as, Moonbeam Coreopsis or Echinacea.
