Autumn Amethyst™ Encore® Azalea
Blooms When Other Azaleas are Bare!
The Autumn Amethyst™ Encore® Azalea blooms in spring, summer, and fall, as well as showing off purple foliage in the winter. It's a true year-round shrub, giving the garden a wash of color in every season.
One of the most beautiful sights in any landscape is a bed of blooming azaleas. These shrubs have for generations honored the first flush of springtime with mounds of blooms so thick they literally cover the branches and foliage.
Now gardeners can have that same incredible burst of color in the summer and fall as well. It's like having nine months of springtime!
When in bloom, the Autumn Amethyst™ is blanketed with clusters of dark lavender flowers. Each can be up to 2 inches across. These shrubs will grow to about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide.
This azalea is unique as well as beautiful. It tolerates full sun like virtually no other azalea, needing around 4-6 hours of direct sunlight to get the best blooms.
It's also more cold–hardy than most, outperforming even other Encores for cold tolerance.
This stunning plant will catch your eye all year long.
