You can find a few, hard to grow Azaleas, that bloom a tad bit thicker at their peak than the Encores. But having up to 9 months of flowers can't be beat.
The Autumn Royalty Encore was voted Azalea of the year in 2004, by the American Rhododendron Society. In addition to the appearance and longevity of its blooms, they were impressed with how tough it is.
Grows in sun or shade and tolerates temperature extremes. You have to love a plant that can thrive in Miami and New Jersey. Just proves that it'll do great, just about anywhere you put it.
