If you’ve tasted one lemon variety, you have not tasted them all! The Meyer lemon is actually a cross between your standard juice lemon and a mandarin orange. The result is the most succulent lemon fruits known to man. The Meyer Lemon is a dwarf citrus tree so if you live in colder climates, even you can grow fresh and organic lemons for your own free source of fresh lemony goodness right there at home. Just imagine all the delicious meals, deserts and cold drinks you could whip up off of your own lemon tree.

This is not the old fashioned disease prone Meyer Lemon Tree.
Our Meyer Lemon trees are a new and improved variety that was specifically bred to be virus free. This means that even you can grow an abundant harvest of chemical free sweet lemons for safe enjoyment. The Meyer Lemon is a lovely shape that is covered with glossy evergreen foliage. In the more tropical climate regions of the country, your Meyer Lemon will thrive nicely and easily in your garden. Because it is a nice compact plant, in northern regions you can container grow this lemon tree and over winter it indoors.

For the most abundant lemon harvest, give your Meyer Lemon 8 hours of sun everyday.
You can’t buy this particular lemon fruit at the store. The Meyer Lemon is thin skinned from its mandarin breeding and doesn’t ship well. In your home handling situation, this will not be an issue and you will still get excellent storage life from your lemon crop. The fruits will ripen in summer with a finished skin color that is a lovely soft melon color when ready to eat.

For best results your lemon tree will require good drainage.
The Meyer Lemon planted in the ground will mature to about 15 feet tall with a nicely rounded head. It prefers sandy, well-drained alkaline soil but will adapt to acidic soils so long as its roots do not remain wet. For container growing your new lemon tree be prepared to change the soil every 3-4 years. The best plant vigor and most abundant crop will need to have fresh soil nutrients on a timely basis. This hybrid citrus fruit tree is very heavy bearing and will provide you with a larger number of sweet tasty lemons every year until it reaches mature size.

The most vigorous Meyer Lemon trees are stocked in good numbers at Brighter Blooms.
Your new heavy bearing and fragrant blooming lemon trees will arrive ready to make an impact for your yard and patio. We guarantee you will be impressed with Meyer Lemon trees you purchase from our nursery. Brighter Blooms is popular for delighting customers with the quality of our plants from the moment they arrive at your house.

If you are colder than zone 8, you must bring your citrus tree indoors during the winter months.
