A Rare and Hardy Plant that Extends the Lilac Season
The Miss Kim Lilac, or Syringa patula, is a variety of Manchurian Lilac, native to China and Korea. With a longer blooming season than French hybrids, the Miss Kim offers a lovely color progression:
•Pink to Purple color in bud
•Ice-blue color when mature
•Burgundy-Red Fall coloring
Though the Miss Kim has a slow rate of growth and requires direct sun, it offers numerous advantages. Given its compact and naturally rounded shape, it can be used as a solid foundation in border planting.
The shrub will grow between 6 to 8 feet in height, but can easily be kept trimmed at 4 feet. This plant does very well in the Southern United States, where other lilacs have difficulty. Anyone looking for a solid foundation to a new landscape design should definitely consider this durable and charismatic plant.

Just came from my sister-in-laws house and smelled the Miss Kim lilac flowers . I think the smell is even more wonderful then when I lived in Ohio .This is the first year it has bloomed and she just planted it last Sept . It has 4 blossom's and the color is gorgeous . We live in Homosassa Florida I will be getting a couple plants this fall thank you !!!
