I ordered 10, 4 foot, Nellie Stevens Holly trees September 2010. Planted them within a week putting a 50:50 mix of Miracle Grow Tree and Shrub Soil mixed with the Earths Soil. I planted them 4 feet apart because I need the thickest screen to block my neighbors.
To my amazement I noticed growth within 6 weeks and these things are growing even while its under 35 degrees! There are no Berries on them but I was told its because they are still young and adapting to new conditions. They have strong stems and thick dark green sharp leaves, even the new growth has firm stems. I will be ordering another 10 in 2011.

Last summer I bought 26 nellie stevens hollies 4-6 foot. They arrived nicely packed, 2 per package. They were around 5 feet tall. I planted them 5 feet apart, and even though they are growing very nicely, I won't have the dense privacy hedge I was looking for for at least 5-6 years. So, if you want privacy faster plant them closer. Great plants!

I ordered 6 Nellie Stevens Holly trees 12 days ago and got them today. They look beautful and healthy. I promply called my landscaper, and when he saw them, he was so impressed with the trees. He said the trees look so healthy. We planted them today now we will watch them grow.

Ordered 40 Nellie R Stevens hollies to plant around our pool fence. Plants came safely boxed 2 to a box, soil was moist and fresh. Plants were delivered earlier then expected so we had to wait about a week before planting. I worried that they would have problems planting late in the season as it was getting very hot here. Plants have been in the ground about six weeks and we are already seeing new growth! Very impressed with Brighter Blooms Plants!!!!
