Fastest Growing Tree in the World!

• Up to an incredible 15 feet of growth per year!

• Gorgeous spring flowers smell like lavender

• Disease & insect resistant

• Easy to grow … drought tolerant

• New non-invasive variety

Enjoy Instant Shade or Privacy
Your Royal Empress Tree will grow to its full, mature size in less than 5 years. This gives you fast shade and instant flowers. Great for large or small lots.

Hundreds of full, fragrant blooms.
The lavender flowers burst in spring, giving you a sweet fragrance for weeks. This sweet smell will fill up your whole yard! You'll want to cut off a few blooms and place them around your house for a natural air freshener.

Unlike some other fast growers, the Paulownia will not invade your entire yard with the root system. This tree has proven to be a great benefit to erosion control, reducing loss of invaluable topsoil.

Saves you money on cooling and heating.
Did you know that the lack of mature shade trees around your home could add about 25% to your energy bills?

Mature trees protecting older homes normally reduce the energy bills by blocking the sun’s heat and offering wind protection. Also refered to as The Royal Princess tree, it produces shade faster than any other tree. Then in the fall, it drops it's large leaves, letting through warm sunshine when you need it.

Royal Empress Trees here at Brighter Blooms Nursery are non-invasive and grown from tissue culture, which makes them stronger and healthier. Beware of other native Paulownia Trees that can overtake your whole yard! Here, you can be assured that your plant is strong and healthy, ready to thrive the first day you receive it.

Your Empress Tree is specially selected to be hardier, better formed and faster growing. Most of our Empress trees are cloned to insure that they are perfect, non-invasive copies of a near-perfect Mother tree.

This process takes more time on our part, but guarantees that you'll have a faster growing, beautiful tree that you will love.

My brother lined his driveway with 5 or 6 of them in 2005. As of September 2008, some of them are at least 30 feet tall with big, full leaves!

duncan
The Royal Empress Tree is amazing, buy as much as u can afford mine grew a foot in one week

Rita
I have a Royal Empress tree that on the first year it grew about 3 feet, thought it had died out the first winter. Then spring came and it came back! Grew about 10 feet this year!

Donald
This is year 3 for my Empress Tree. It grew only 2 feet the first two years. The frost "killed" them. I chopped them down to the ground in the spring and this year it is 12 feet tall. I cant believe it!

Radu
My royal empress tree grew 4 feet in 4 months!

Lesa
We planted our Royal Empress Tree in the early summer and by the end of summer it was over 5 feet tall.

Christine
I purchased a 5-6 ft Royal Empress tree in the spring of this year. When I received it, I called it the "stick". Planted it per instructions and waited - and waited - and waited. I visited the "stick" every day for 3 weeks and nothing. But then, a small shoot appeared and it hasn't stopped As of now, 10/2/09 it is 13 ft tall and still growing with a diameter of 4" at the base. I should have bought more!

Kathy
I purchased a Royal Empress tree from Brighter Blooms Nursery in May 2009. It was barely 5 inches tall and after I planted it it sat and did nothing for about a month. Then a shoot came up from the ground and it started growing at an incredibly rapid rate. In July it was about a foot tall and by October I would estimate its height to be 8 feet ot more. Amazing! I am hopeful by the end of next summer it will be providing at least some shade to the side of our house that gets the afternoon sun.

Debbie
I planted my Royal Empress tree in spring 2008. The first summer it grew about 4-6 feet tall. In the spring of 2009, I cut it down to the ground. That's when it really took off. It grew so fast, we couldn't believe it! All of our neighbors stopped us and asked us about it. Strangers would pull over to the side of the road and ask us about the tree. The leaves are HUGE and it grew like a weed! By the end of the summer 2009, it stood over 18 feet tall. AMAZING! I can't wait to see what the spring blooms look like!

Kathy
I planted my Royal Empress "stick" in the spring/summer of 2009. It took off right away. No blooms, but huge leaves and some shade that first season. This is season two. I couldn't bring myself to cut it off last fall/winter. My neighbor pointed out the beautiful blooms last week. The trunk is 2-3 inches in diameter now and looks strong and healthy. It is over 9 feet tall and continually growing. We might get some real shade this summer! I am very happy with it.

Janice
I purchased the Royal Empress trees two years ago. The first year it only grew about four feet tall. The instructions said to cut it down to ground level in the fall. Well, I waited until winter, cut it down to the ground and waited. In the early spring, still nothing. Late spring when it was time to cut the grass, I noticed a small sprout coming out of the ground. Within two days it had grown 21 inches. Now in it's full second season it is over 20 feet tall with many branches and broad leaves. I will definitely be purchasing more.

Mike
I planted an empress tree in May of 2008 and this summer it was about 13 feet tall. This year it should be a great tree....

Katy
My sister gave me the Royal Empress Tree as a gift - we had just moved into a newer house with no mature trees. I planted this late in the year and didn't realize that the leaves show up a little later than my other trees. I am sorry to say that I just pulled the "stick" out of the ground planning to toss it in my compost bin. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the roots had been growing. I assumed that pulling the stick out of the ground would have killed it, so didn't follow ANY of the recommendations when replanting and just sort of stuck it in the ground. My husband didn't realize that I had replanted it and accidentally weed wacked the stick, and then ran over the rest with the lawn mover. No fertilizer, no water, no fancy dirt or compost. It grew at least 20 feet that growing season and I can't wait to see what happens this year!

Sue Gratton
I planted my empress tree last year, and already it's probably 12 feet tall. I did not cut it down to the ground as instructed, but it seems to be doing well this spring(2010). It hasn't set blooms yet, but I'm assuming it will set blooms next spring. I'm eager to see them. I'm looking forward to taking more pics of it.

Vasile in Missouri
Very impressive tree! Thanks for shipping it in good condition to me and I promise I'll take just as good care of it as you did :-)

Kris
I bought a Royal Empress from Brighter Blooms last year in early spring. Followed instructions for planting and right way it started to grow. i no longer live in the house but when I have gone by it has grown over 10ft tall since I put it in the ground over there. i never cut mine back. It outgrew my grandson in the first 2 months. Amazing tree. Also, i was so VERY impressed in the care that was taken to ship it to me. It had six tiny leaves on it and was perfectly nestled in its box when I got it. Who knew it wold be so much fun to watch grow. And the leaves become s massive. Started to think I had planted elephant ears....lol. Brighter Blooms is highly recommended by me for their products and care of them. Thanks a million. I live in an apartment right now but bet your booty I will buy another Royal Empress as soon as I move to another house and will do so from Brighter Blooms Nursery.

Chelsea
I love, love, love, the Empress. We bought ours from BB back in 2008 and it is towering now. The best part about it, is that it turned out to be just as non-invasive as they said theirs was because this was a huge concern of mine, since we have a pool, patio, and all. I had read a lot of articles online that said the Empress was very invasive but BB Empress trees are not. I could not have asked for a more lovely tree. Thanks BB

Michael in Dallas, TX
I received my Empress from BB on August 20th - she checked in at 27 inches tall when i ordered a 24inch plant and has about 6 leaves. I can't wait to see what she's gonna do!

Adam
I purchased my Royal Empress last year (2009), planted it, and it only grew about six inches. I waited until spring and cut it to the ground in the middle of May. My tree is now seven feet tall. I think I'm going to love this tree. I also planted one of its sprouts which is currently three and a half feet tall. I will probably cut it down in the spring. The leaves on the larger tree have reached twenty-five inches across. I am amazed with this tree.

Ron
My neighbor gave the Royal Empress to me. I planted it in 2009. I grew about 2 ft., turned woody, no leaves, that year This year it started to get leaves, but frost got it, twice. Two weeks later a sprout started up from the old plant. In 6 weeks it has grown 4 feet, has huge leaves and is growing straight as an arrow. This tree is remarkable.

Terri
Love my tree only 3 years old and over 10 feet tall. The root is the only problem, planted to close to sidewalk and porch.

Marcia
I thought I only had 'sticks' in the ground. I called to see about a replacement and the Bloomin' Staff was wonderful. They told me to go out and scratch the bottom and send them a pic. I didn't get to that for a day or two. When I did, every tree had leaves -beautiful purple and green leaves. All 3 have grown 2 feet since then - took just a month. I can't wait to watch them grow!

Tom
I live in the Zuni Mtns., of New Mexico. My Royal Empress arrived on the 14 of July, 2011. I was impressed with the care BB takes to insure safe delivery. The Empress looked very healthy, about 8" tall with about 6 leaves. Can't wait to see its progress this season.

Valerie
I love to watch this tree grow... and amazing that I cut it down to the ground for two years, in the Spring, and it became a beautiful tall flowering tree. Amazing! Now I have two majestic trees that give a lot of shade. The school children love to come and see the big leaves and take them to school for show and tell or biology projects! Highly recommended tree for shade.

Roxanne in CA
We have finally put our tree in the ground just a few weeks ago and it is taking off. I had ordered this tree a year ago or so but wanted a bigger root system before planting it in the backyard. I can NOT wait to have shade next year. Beautiful tree and LOVE the big leaves. It won't be a big deal picking up the leaves, since they are that big. I'm looking forward to the blooms.

Eldin in TX
All of our plants that we have purchased from you are doing well and blooming beautifully.

This is the second growing season since I got a Royal Empress Tree. It was only about a foot tall last spring when I planted it. So far this year it is about 20 ft. tall and still growing! This is the most beautiful and amazing tree I have ever planted! All my neighbors have admired this tree and are shocked at how fast it grows. The leaves are big and beautiful and all my garden critters love being in that tree. It provides alot of shade! I am VERY anxious to see if it flowers next spring! Thank you for selling such a unique and beautiful tree!

Jim Jacobs
Love this tree. It grew about 19 feet the feet the first year!

Elizabeth
I received my Royal Empress Tree as basically a stick about 2 months ago. I planted it per the instructions and it has grown at an amazingly fast rate since, it is over a foot tall and has tons of leaves bigger than my hand! I am excited to see how it will look next spring!
