I love the Yellow Sunny Knock Out Rose! I have a few of them throughout my front landscape. They are beautifully fragrant, and bloom from Spring til late fall. I feed them every couple of months, and they respond well. The buds are a deep sunny yellow, and once they open, they will continue to lighten, giving nice depth of color to the shrub. I have not had had a lot of success with other roses, but these are very rewarding plants.

Wow! I planted three Sunny Yellow Knock Outs a month ago (in a precarious place according to my research) and they are off and running! I'm a first time gardener and wanted a low maintenance, high impact flowering shrub. Boy, did I get it! I got a Sunny Knock Out last year. I bought two more for myself this year. We had extremely frigid, record setting temps all winter. This rose has come through with more than flying colors. I have never smelled anything so fabulous in my garden. I just bought one for both my neighbors also. They are absolutely thrilled. I would recommend this rose to anyone. One MAJOR PLUS for me here in Buffalo...NO BLACK SPOT!!!

I bought 4 of these Sunny Knockout bushes last month (April 2011) and they're all doing great. One is in a place that only gets 3-4 hours of direct sun and it's not growing as fast, but it's very healthy and bloomy. The other 3 are in a place that gets 8+ hours of direct sun and they're exploding with new growth almost instantly. They deadhead themselves naturally but, if you deadhead them manually, you'll see new Bud Eyes popping out in 2 days tops. These knockouts re-bud at an extremely high rate and require daily watering. We have hot summers so I've put down some mulch around the base of my bushes to keep the ground moist longer. I also used Rose fertilizer when i planted them, definitely recommended. One other thing, they don't stay yellow for long - in fact, they're only yellow until they fully bloom... you can literally watch them turn white in front of you. Beautiful fragrance nonetheless, can't wait to plant a few more this weekend.
