OK, well a lot of people think that this is not a cold weather plant , well my Wine and Roses Weigela has been in the ground for 3 years now and its doing just fine with out anything done to it at all .... this is the 2nd year it has flowered and well it has grown only 8 " to 10" in that time but it is growing. Next to the house in 3/4 sun i would say so there you have it !

Great shrub, love it, tough, hardy rebloomer.

Our cold weather definitely does not adversely affect our Wine and Roses Weigela. We've had it in our yard for about 5 years, and it is thriving. The contrast between the dark burgundy leaves and the bright pink flowers is such an unusual, very beautiful combination. This is one of our favorites!

This is our 2nd year - beautiful - a great choice!

This bush grow three feet the first year, this the second and the colors are unreal! Can't wait for next year.
