•Dark purple foliage and creamy pink blossoms...plus edible fruit!
•Adaptable and hardy, a low maintenance perennial shrub or small tree
Black Lace is a new elderberry variety that will add its many charms to your garden now.
Deep purple, fine cut foliage from spring through fall...massive 10-inch light pink blooms beginning in June, with a lemony fragrance...and elderberries that can become pies, jellies, jams, juice, and wine.
What more could you want from a plant? Easy care and adaptability for any gardener! And Black Lace delivers.
It flowers best in full sun but will make do in partial shade. Soil conditions can be acid to alkaline, clay or sand, and it tolerates drought. It winters well in zone 4 and colder.
Be the first in your neighborhood to plant this new, award-winning, easy-care beauty!
I have had the Black Lace Elderberry for two years, and I love it. No maintenance, just cut back every once in a while to the shape/height you want it. I live in zone 5 and it does well over the winter. Left untrimmed it can get huge, and it's very full.

The Black Lace Elderberry is one of the easiest plants to have in your yard. Virtually no maintenance!. Beautiful color. I live in zone 5 and it does great over winter. This is a winner.

I planted my Black Lace Elderberry late summer 2009 in zone 5. It is May 2010 and by plant came back bigger and stronger than the year before. The plant is gorgeous and the blooms are so dainty I'm looking forward to years of beauty from my bushes. I'm impressed by the plant itself and also the product Proven Winners. I highly recommend the plant and the product.

I planted three Black Lace several years ago in zone 7. Two in full sun and one in a largely shaded spot (yes, not recommended, but I did it anyway). The two in full sun have grown massively and are gorgeous. The shaded plant remains very small but also looks gorgeous. It seems like everyone notices these plants. Highly recommend.

I live in New Mexico in zone 5 and my neighbor bought a few of these black lace elderberry shrubs and they are stunning. My wife and I are planning on getting a few for our yard also. They are the most beautiful bush and produce little white flowers and elderberries. Can't wait to get ours!
