Botanical: Echinacea purpurea 'Magnus'
Magnus Coneflower, or Echinacea, is a perennial prized for its large, deep purple, daisy-like blooms.

A rich black central cone provides great contrast to the magenta petals and gives this flower its name...blooms appear late May and stay until July.

Tidy, toothed foliage is clump forming, dark green and ovate....Magnus Coneflower is a fast grower and an ambitious one: up to 3 ft. tall.

Adaptable and easy to grow, Magnus doesn't mind competition from neighbors and will thrive in a mixed border.

This plant looks fantastic paired up with other brightly colored coneflowers, or with the yellow bloom explosion of Moonbeam Coreopsis.

This plant always draws a crowd and is dearly loved by birds, bees and butterflies, but avoided by deer...also a great cut flower so make sure to grow extra!
