The Most Prolific, Fragrant, and Robust Lavender
This Lavender is like no other Lavender variety you’ve seen before! The Sensational Lavender produces thicker and fuller flowers, while being able to stand up to harsh weather and poor soil.
The Sensational Lavender presents robust, thick flowers through summer and into fall. These full, deep purple flowers are larger and more prolific than ordinary Lavender. Plus with silvery foliage, the blooms stand out on the plant with rich contrast.
Not only are the blooms of the Sensational Lavender a marvel, so is the fragrance. The sweet, floral lavender scent is a refreshing addition to any landscape. This fragrance will attract and please not only you, but pollinators and neighbors alike.
Perfect for planting indoors, in containers, or in garden beds, the Sensational Lavender will sweeten any space you plant it. Create the perfect summer-to-fall focal point, plant in rows, or add to your favorite container next to your front door.
The Sensational Lavender grows in a dense \ habit that is both compact and well-branched. This sturdy type of growth means the plant is stronger and more resilient. Not only is the Sensational Lavender heat-resistant and drought-tolerant, it's also able to thrive in high humidity conditions, as well as extreme cold. That means, whether you live in hot and humid zone 9 or in cooler-season zone 5, the Sensational Lavender is ready to thrive.
Because the Sensational Lavender is such an incredible Lavender plant, our inventory isn’t going to last long. Order your Sensational Lavender plant now, before we sell out!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Lavender will perform best if planted in a full sun location (6 to 8 hours of sun) with well-draining soil.
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the Lavender's root ball, loosen the soil, and place the plant. Backfill the hole, lightly tamping the soil, to prevent air pockets from forming.
If you're container-planting, select a pot that's about two sizes larger than your shipped container. Use sandy potting mix, place your plant, and fill with the soil mix, leaving a couple of inches at the top. Give the potted plant a good drink of water and place it in front of a south-facing window or on a sunny patio spot.
2. Watering: Once your Lavender is established, it's generally drought tolerant but does like moist soil. If you're not sure when to water, use your index finger. Stick it into the soil and if it feels dry, add just enough water to moisten the area.
3. Fertilizing: A weekly feeding with liquid fertilizer will improve the flower color as well as encourage prolific flowering.
4. Pruning: Prune after the coldest part of winter has passed. Proper pruning will include removing dead or damaged areas and any desired shaping.
