Plum Pudding Heuchera
Versatile and Colorful
The Plum Pudding Heuchera delivers long lasting, deep purple foliage. The plum color adds depth to your sunny to partly shady garden or landscape design.
Heucheras are such a popular plant because they look great with so many other colors.
It produces small, thin stems that extend well above the plant and bloom subtle white flowers in late spring and early summer. Some prefer to remove the flower stems before they bloom so that the focus remains on the foliage and not the flower.
It is dry, shade tolerant, and performs well in full sun in the North, but prefers some shade in the South, especially during the hottest times of the day.
Its mounded form makes Plum Pudding Heuchera an excellent border plant.
It can also be planted in groups as ground cover or in rock gardens, open woodland gardens or containers. It is even beautiful as an edger along paths or walkways.
Plum Pudding Heuchera is known to attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
