Bright & Beautiful, Color-Changing Nandina
Looking for long-lasting interest and non-stop color variations? The Heavenly Bamboo will do the trick!
This nandina shrub is semi-evergreen with a strong color show that’s impossible not to love. Enjoy green to cherry-red to royal purple foliage hues that change with the seasons, dainty white flowers in summer, and bright red berries in fall.
This exciting shrub offers the perfect potential for accenting any area of your yard or creating a thick hedge or border. No matter where it’s planted, one thing’s for sure – it’ll deliver season after season!
What’s more is that this shrub can thrive in both sun and shade. For brightest colors, plant in full sun, but if your shaded nooks are in need of a little love, the Heavenly Bamboo will surely satisfy those spaces, as well.
If your landscape is feeling a little drab (we’ve all been there!), add a Heavenly Bamboo or two. Its effortless color, texture and versatility will do your garden well!
NOTE: This product is specific to California. Find Heavenly Bamboo available in other states.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your nandina in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight daily) and well-drained soil. Once you've selected your location, dig a hole that's large enough to accommodate your shrub's root ball, place your shrub, and water the surrounding soil.
2. Watering: Let your soil dry to the touch down to about 2 inches in between waterings. Once your soil is dry, give your nandina a deep watering at the base.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your nandina at the beginning of every spring and in the middle of summer with an acidic fertilizer.
