Product Description

Showy Perennial Thrives in Easy-to-Grow Mounds

Boasting tall spikes of indigo blooms and soft, vibrantly green foliage, the May Night Salvia stands out. The May Night is a showy perennial that’s ideal for planting nearly anywhere, from mixed borders to flower beds and containers. Plus, because it’s easy to maintain, it’s well-suited for both expert gardeners and novices, so anyone can experience months of vigorous re-blooming flowers.

It’s especially low-maintenance because it’s drought tolerant once established, deer resistant and rabbit resistant. That means you get its signature deep blue-purple florals without hassle or harsh pest sprays. And since it’s fragrant, it also attracts the wildlife you love, like hummingbirds, butterflies and bees for pollination.

But the best part is that the May Night Salvia is made to acclimate and grow well. Our May Night is a proven performer because we’ve planted, grown and monitored it with the utmost care from day one. That means you get a plant that is thriving, even long before it arrives to your door.

Imagine the promise of richly-hued green leaves, deep color and easy care, all in your homescape. With the versatile May Night Salvia, it’s a guarantee. Order your own May Night Salvia today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: An area with well-drained soil and 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day – that’s all your May Night really needs to thrive. Once you’ve selected a proper location, dig a hole that’s two or three times the width of your shrub’s root ball. Finally, place your plant, back fill the soil and water to settle its roots.

2. Watering: Water your May Night regularly, about once per week or more often during extreme heat. If you’re not sure when to water, check for soil dryness about 2 to 3 inches down in the surrounding soil. If your May Night’s soil is dry, it’s time to water.

3. Fertilizing: Feed your May Night with a well-balanced fertilizer before new growth begins in the spring.

4. Pruning: Prune your May Night annually after flowering to encourage more blooms, and remove any spent blooms throughout the season to maintain healthy, full growth.
