The preferred growing zones for the Rose of Sharon trees are 5-9. This hardy tree will thrive in a container anywhere in the country. Just bring it indoors when the temperatures drop down and use it as an attractive house plant. When potted, your tree will not grow as large. You will also be able to trim them down to keep them at a manageable size. If you are lucky enough to live in a warmer place, you will be able to quickly turn your landscape into your own private oasis.
