Sophisticated Cherry Laurel That Takes Center Stage
The Cherry Laurel 'Centre Court™' sophisticates any yard or garden. Also known as the English Laurel, this shrub can be pruned into a shapely hedge or grown into a hardy tree. Whatever form you intend for it, this Cherry Laurel is an elegant addition.
The Cherry Laurel 'Centre Court™' is an appealing alternative to other shrubs or bushes. Offering bright green, waxy foliage, this shrub sprouts white, sweet-scented blooms. In spring, these flowers transform into ruby red, non-edible cherries that add charm to your landscaping.
Popular with gardeners because of its adaptability, this Cherry Laurel’s moderate size and dense growing pattern make it an ideal privacy screen. Alternatively, you could plant one or a few along a border path or row as an accent plant.
In addition, this resilient shrub is anything but difficult to grow. It thrives in difficult environments, including urban settings. It'll also continue to bloom and bear fruit during the colder months, so it’s the hardy plant you’ve been seeking for your all-seasons garden!
Incorporate a touch of elegance that'll take center stage in your yard - order the Cherry Laurel 'Centre Court™' today!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: First, select a location with well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade – any area with about 4 to 6 hours of sunlight should suffice. When you’re ready to plant, dig a hole that’s about three times the width of your plant’s root ball, and place your plant.
2. Watering: Once established, your Cherry Laurel is relatively drought-tolerant, but it’s important to have a regular watering schedule for the first few growing seasons. Water about once weekly or check the surrounding soil about 2 or 3 inches down.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilizing your Cherry Laurel isn't necessary, but if you choose to do so, use a general purpose fertilizer, such as a 10-10-10 formula, once a year.
4. Pruning: You can trim your Cherry Laurel as often or as much as needed. To ensure it keeps producing flowers, trim once a year only, immediately after the flowering period.
