Product Description

Monstera is One of the Most Popular House Plants

With heart-shaped, glossy leaves and a full look, Monstera deliciosa, also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, boasts a super unique silhouette. And the leaves on the plant’s robust silhouette develop natural holes for a one-of-a-kind touch.

The signature Swiss cheese-like holes on the leaves develop after one to two years of growth, but the deep green hues are there from day one. Plus, the Swiss Cheese Plant grows quickly and effortlessly – in fact, this exotic pick can reach up to 6 feet in height indoors, making it ideal for a focal point.

From patios to living rooms, it makes a statement. Its relaxed, tropical-inspired charm is especially well-suited for indoor areas, adding summertime energy that lasts year-round. But the best part is that we’ve bred our Monstera to have the characteristic holes that have put this plant in such high demand…other nurseries won’t have the same benefit.

Basically, we’ve nurtured your Swiss Cheese Plant to be a proven performer in your own homescape, so once it's shipped, it's already well on its way to amazing growth. Order your own Monstera today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Your Swiss Cheese Plant grows best in full sun with high humidity and moist, well-drained soil but will tolerate some shade. The best place for your plant is near a South-facing window. And when you're ready to plant, ensure you select a pot that is approximately 12 to 14 inches in diameter, with proper drainage holes.

Tip: You can place your pot on top of a base with stones to prevent spills and allow for easy moisture containment.

2. Watering: Spritz leaves with water in the dry winter months or throughout the year if you live in a dry climate, especially since the Monstera loves humidity. We also recommend watering your plant once a week – water when the soil is dry at about 2 inches deep, and water until you see flow from the drainage holes.

3. Fertilizing: Feed your Monstera with a water-soluble fertilizer once in the spring and every month in the summer.

Tip: The leaves of your Monstera may collect dust, so be sure to keep your tree healthy by wiping down the leaves as needed with a dust cloth.
