Product Description
Create a Coffee Shop in Your Own Kitchen!
If you drink both coffee and tea, you might not think you can grow the beans and leaves to brew your favorite beverages at home. But, now you can! Grow your very own tea and coffee with our Barista Kit.
Can't decide between coffee or tea each morning? No problem! This kit comes with all the plants you need to become an in-home coffee AND tea barista, including:
The Arabica Coffee Plant only grows four to six feet tall, so it's perfect for small spaces. Despite its compact size, it still produces enough beans for you to soak, peel, and roast for coffee! The plant is also easy to grow indoors or outdoors, as it withstands high temperatures, pests, and disease.
Diversifying your brewing options is the Cold-Hardy Tea Plant. The tree can be planted indoors or on back patios, and depending on when you harvest, it can produce either green or black tea. Simply wait until your tree sprouts leaves, dry them, and then brew your drink with boiling water.
Don’t leave the sweetener-lovers in your life out by forgetting the Sugar Cane that rounds out the Barista Kit trio. You can harvest the cane to add a sweet syrup to your beverages, and the multicolored grasses add a beautiful contrast to your coffee and tea plants.
So, what are you waiting for? Get brewing with our Barista Kit! All three of these plants have been grown and nurtured wtih care, so you’ll have less time to wait before you can start picking coffee beans and tea leaves!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Grow your Arabica Coffee Plant in a pot indoors or out. The Cold Hardy Tea Plant makes an excellent hedge or can be potted as long as it is in a full to partial sun location. Sugar Cane Plants grow best in hot, humid and sunny climates. Plant in the ground or a pot 2-3 times larger than its current size, and bring indoors in the cooler months.
2. Watering: You can water your Arabica Coffee Plant and Cold-Hardy Tea Plant 1-2 times weekly, but the Sugar Cane may need more frequent watering as it likes its soil moist at all times.
3. Fertilizing: All three plants will benefit from frequent fertilization with a low-concentration fertilizer.
4. Pruning: Prune any low-growing branches or leaves near the base of the Arabica Coffee Plant. Prune the Cold Hardy Tea Plant if it grows over 5 feet tall in a hedge. Potted Tea Plants should be pruned yearly after the blooming season. Prune the Sugar Cane Plant if it grows too tall or the shoots start growing backwards.
