Yes, it is possible to grow different types of fruit on the same tree! As a result of the horticultural practice of grafting these two plants together, you can enjoy growing your own Fruit Cocktail Tree. You'll get peaches and plums! This Tree is a Marvel of Science There is a very unique process that happens when breeding these trees. Two different stone fruits are grafted together, and are grown together for several years. The result is a strong, hardy tree that produces two different types of fruit! You Get it All When spring comes, you're rewarded with a flurry of pale pink blooms that smother your tree. They're fragrant, too! By summer time, you'll be growing your own ripe fruit. Nothing tastes like fresh picked fruit! What About Cross-Pollination? These trees are self-pollinating. Many fruit trees have to be planted in pairs so they can cross-pollinate each other. But not so with the Fruit Cocktail Tree! You can plant only one tree and still harvest fresh fruits. However, if you plant more than one tree?…particularly if you really love peaches and plums?…you'll have plenty of fruit to enjoy!
